- Q: If I use an "Add-A-Circuit" fuse tap, will it overload my fuse box?
- A> No. The Add-A-Circuit tap includes its own fuse for the new circuit (the steps). It draws power from an existing circuit (like the accessory or door lock circuit) but protects it with the original fuse. The step system's current draw is calculated to be well within the capacity of the circuit we tap into. Proper instructions specify which fuse location to use.
- Q: Can I transfer a plug-and-play kit to another vehicle later?
- A> Generally, no. The harness, brackets, and sometimes control unit programming are specific to a single vehicle model, year, and sometimes trim. They are not transferable to a different vehicle.
